What to Expect

We know inviting someone onto your property requires trust, and we don’t take that lightly. Our team strives to provide efficient, low stress service for both you and your animals. We plan our routes carefully, work with intention, and aim to keep each visit smooth, calm, and productive. Clear expectations help everything run seamlessly, so here’s what you can expect from us and what we’ll need from you.

Before We Arrive
  • WE LOVE ALL ANIMALS - However due to recent events, we require that all guard dogs or animals leery of strangers be securely housed away from our proposed work area before we arrive until after we leave!

Friendly farm dogs always receive a pet or two and treat from us!

• Please ensure all livestock to be trimmed are properly secured in a easily accessible stall/pen/ etc - unless otherwise instructed.

(We will not chase animals to capture (ie: in a field, or pasture) as this adds to stress and raises energy of all involved.)
• Work areas should be clean, accessible, and ready for service. We prefer to not work in mud, ice, snow or excessive manure!

If your area does not have lights we can provide portable lighting as needed.
• Clear  easy access to gates, barns, driveways, doors, access areas.

Think safety: Easy , quick access and EXIT.
• Owners must be available onsite unless prior arrangements have been made.

Proper preparation allows us to stay on schedule and provide the highest quality service possible.

The Day of Your Appointment

• We will travel according to our pre planned route and schedule.
• You may receive a courtesy message when we are on the way, depending on service area and cell coverage.
• Arrival times are scheduled within a time frame rather than an exact minute due to travel variables, weather, and previous visit location conditions.
• If an unexpected delay occurs, we will communicate as soon as possible. Please understand we cover lots of  "way out there" locations where cell reception is not the best... so messages may be delayed - but we do our best!

Our goal is reliability without rushing, ensuring every client receives thorough and attentive service.

During Your Appointment

• Our team will arrive with all tools and equipment needed.
• We work efficiently and respectfully of your property and animals.
• For safety and workflow reasons, we ask that unnecessary distractions be minimized - extra animals, pets, children, etc.

• If questions arise, we are happy to address them at an appropriate time during or after the visit

  • We practice Biosecurity Practices if in place, your property and animals are very important to us. After our team is done with service, we take time to clean our tools, boots, uniforms before traveling to the next location.

Our goal is to complete your service thoroughly while keeping stress low for both clients and animals.

After Service Is Completed

• We will review any important notes or recommendations with you.

  • We help formulate a long term care and maintenance routine with you.

  • Overgrowth removal cases will receive reschedule dates to accommodate healthy regrowth.

  • Future Happy Hoof Care Family visits can be immediately rescheduled during our follow up correspondence.

  • We are available by Text or Call if any questions arise between visits.

  •

We truly value clear communication, reliability, and long term client relationships, and we look forward to working with you.

"We have had our male Boer goat for over 8 years. We had different individuals come out and attempt to cut his hooves.  However they would not come back.  Buddy is over 250lbs and is hard to handle.  We even had a veterinarian come out and he sedated Buddy.  It was not until Tammy from Homestead Helpers PA came out and trimmed his hooves right.  They did the best job we ever saw.  We are very happy with Homestead Helpers PA, Holistic Hoof Care for Goats, sheep and pigs.  I highly recommend them to anyone who has small farm animals."
